The photographer
The constraint is the style. Everything in the archive was shot on medium-format black-and-white film, developed by hand, scanned once, and printed in editions small enough to count. When an edition sells out, the negative is retired.
The prints
Every print is silver gelatin, made in the dark, numbered in pencil and signed on the verso. Editions run 8 to 34 and never reprint. The archive page is the whole inventory — when a series is gone, it is gone from the site too.
